At IMC we've created a fun and inspiring work environment that everyone is glad to be a part of. We truly believe that work and play are not mutually exclusive; that it's possible to work and have fun at the same time. We refuse to take ourselves too seriously and always find time to come together and celebrate. Sometimes we head out to mark a milestone, but quite often it's just a chance to unwind and congratulate ourselves on a job well done. Check out these IMC events...
2009 Pamper Day
Treating our staff to chocolate fondue and relaxing chair massages for an in-office spa experience. Winners of the Xmas Gingerbread House contest received extra-long massages. |
2008 Christmas Party
 |
This year there was lots of snow and lots of fun at our Xmas party held at the Vancouver Rowing Club. Congratulations to Justine for winning a trip to Las Vegas! |
2008 IMC Picnic
 |
Another professionally catered event, so everyone could focus on the Scavenger Hunt instead. In order to win, teams had to locate obscure objects and capture team members performing tricky stunts on camera, which really worked up everyone's appetite! |
2008 Playland
 |
We went on rides, then ate hamburgers and hot dogs. Some of us think the highlight was the Bumper Cars, some of us preferred to free-fall 200 feet on the "Hellavator" (and yes, we DID manage to hold on to our lunches!) |
2008 Pitch 'n' Putt in Stanley Park
 |
From all reports everyone had a great time! Congratulations to IMCers Eric and Jim, who each won a prize for having the closest tee shot to the pin! |
2008 Product Launch at Federico's Supper Club
 |
To celebrate all the hard work that the entire company put into writing and producing The Insider Secrets to Marketing your Business on the Internet for 2008, we celebrated with dinner and drinks at Federico's Supper Club, followed by dancing. Fun was had by all! |
2008 Pamper Day
Fresh Starbucks coffee, OJ, muffins to start everyone's day off in style... followed by a variety of pizza and beverages for all at lunch. The afternoon finished with on-site chair massages... what a nice way to relax. |
2007 Christmas Party
The 2007 edition of the IMC Christmas Party took place on a Carol Ship that cruised through False Creek and Vancouver Harbour. It was a great night full of cocktails, games, prizes, caroling, and dancing, as the DJ spun the tunes on this 3-hour tour (OK, it was 4) |
2007 Pizza and Bowling
A great evening of pizza and bowling for IMCers to get a few strikes under their belts! |
2007 Halloween
A day full of candy, costumes, pumpkin carving -- and an IMC Photo Scavenger Hunt (Halloween edition). Whether the day was a trick or a treat will be left up for individuals to decide |
2007 Canadians Baseball at Nat Bailey
Complete with hot dogs, cool refreshments, and a sunny day -- we also watched some baseball and had a lot of laughs! |
2007 IMC Picnic
 |
This year our BBQ was professionally catered, followed by a game of slow-pitch. And what picnic is ever complete without the tradition of the annual water balloon fight? |
2007 Moose's Down Under & Yuk Yuks
 |
Could there be a better night when we follow up our favourite watering hole, with our favourite place to laugh? |
2007 Spa Day and Chocolate Fondue
How was your day at work today? Well this afternoon after I had a massage, I then had a manicure followed by a chocolate fondue -- it was a pretty tough day at the office! |
2006 Casino/Mardi Gras Christmas Party
 |
Just when we thought we couldn't have more fun (or eat any more), the wall separated in the Junior Ballroom at the Sheraton Wall Centre, and surprise -- a Mardis Gras theme casino night and dance party began. |
2006 Pre-Christmas Kickoff with Egg Nog
Tara's famous egg nog keeps everyone coming back to this annual in-house office kick-off for the holidays. |
2006 Halloween Party
 |
Yes more costumes, pumpkin carving, pumpkin pie eating contests, and of course pizza! |
2006 IMC Boat Cruise
 |
Yet another successful boat cruise complete with DJ, dancing, lots of food, and plenty of competitions for prizes. We're not sure why the weather always cooperates, but we are happy it does! |
2006 Bowling Night
In what other sport do you get to wear shoes worn by thousands of others, and do the strike or spare dance? |
2006 Golfing in Stanley Park
Where else in the world can you walk out the front door of your downtown office, stroll over to the park while gazing at the mountains and water, and play par three golf? |
2006 Yuk Yuks Comedy Night
We love to laugh, and were not disappointed by the hilarity factor of the comedians on this evening -- plus none of us got kicked out for heckling! |
2006 IMC Annual Picnic
 |
This year our picnic was at 2nd beach in Stanley Park, complete with volleyball, bocce ball, lots of BBQed goodness, a slurpee-drinking contest, and balloon stomping/tackling fun! |
2006 Curling
Everyone had a blast curling at the Vancouver Curling Club whether it was for the first time or maybe the 3rd time. Yes curling is much more fun than it seems, and by the end of the night we were all yelling "hurry hard"! |
2006 Valentines Day
Yes here at IMC we had our own in-house flower and chocolate delivery service to send to the Valentine or Anti-Valentine of your choice! |
2006 Texas Hold'em Tournament
Due to the success of the "Casino Night" a few months earlier, we had a very popular in-house Texas Hold 'em Tournament, where the tables and dealers came to our office! And believe it or not, the final game was between an IMC pro and a total Hold 'em newbie. |
2006 Vancouver Giants Hockey
We cheered them on. Did we win? Who remembers? We were having too much fun. |
2005 Christmas Party at the Vancouver Aquarium
Not only did we dine in style among the fish tanks at the Vancouver Aquarium, we also danced the night away, as we do at pretty much all IMC events where the tunes are spinning! |
2005 Casino Night
This posh quarterly celebration was held at the Four Seasons Hotel -- complete with appetizers, cocktails, games and prizes for best costume and biggest winners. |
2005 Staff Picnic at Stanley Park
 |
Again, we were really lucky this year -- the weather for the picnic was perfect. The social committee really put on a great event complete with burgers, baseball and water balloons! |
2005 Picnic at Nat Bailey Stadium
 |
On a beautiful summer day we all headed down to the ball field to eat some burgers and watch a Canadians game. What a blast -- the food was great and the Canadians won! |
IMC 2005 Boat Cruise
 |
We really didn't think that it was possible to top last year's boat cruise -- we were wrong! There were almost twice as many people going on the cruise this year so the boat was huge. The weather was perfect, we drank and danced until the sun came up. |
IMC 2004 Christmas party
 |
Held on the 34th floor of the Coast Plaza Hotel in downtown Vancouver, this was one swanky party! We all dressed to the nines and enjoyed a great evening of dinner, drinks and dancing. The surprise guests made a great addition and our caricaturist recorded it all for IMC history.
|
2004 Q3 Party @ Relish followed by a show at Yuk Yuk's
This was definitely a night to remember! We were all treated to drinks and a fabulous dinner at Relish in downtown Vancouver. From there we headed up the street to Yuk Yuk's for more drinks and a great comedy show.
|
Halloween 2004 at IMC
 |
Unlike everything else we do, we take Halloween pretty seriously here at IMC. This past year we had a pumpkin carving contest, a costume contest and a pie-eating contest… just picture 12 pumpkin pies and a lot of whipped cream… |
2004 Q2 Party at Hastings Park
 |
Imagine a sunny afternoon at the local horse racing park… you've got a belly full of great food, a drink in your hand and $40 burning a hole in your pocket -- all of this provided by the company you work for… sound risky? The best part was that some IMCers went home with more than $40 in their pockets!
|
2004 Staff Picnic
 |
Amazingly we managed to pick the most beautiful day in August to have our annual picnic. With a full turnout, everyone enjoyed the barbecued burgers while partaking in any one of the available sports -- from bocce to Frisbee to football, even the dogs had a great time!
|
2004 Q2 Party boat cruise
 |
The boat cruise will definitely go down as one of the best IMC events! We cruised up and down Burrard Inlet, enjoying the absolutely beautiful day, the drinks, and the dancing. The night was finished off by watching the Canucks win a great playoff game from the lounge in the Bayshore Hotel.
|
2003 IMC Christmas party
This party was held in the beautiful Brock House on the shores of Burrard Inlet. We were all treated to a great dinner and then we danced the night away. |
