Sound ridiculous? Think again! Free eBooks can be a great tool for drawing traffic to your web site. Imagine this for a moment...

Let's say you decide to create an eBook to be used as a promotional tool. You pack it full of information that your market is interested in along with plugs for your products and services. Then you make it available on your site free of charge. People LOVE free stuff, so a good portion of the visitors who pass through your web site snap up the eBook.

These people read your eBook and are impressed by the quality of information that you've provided them with. They come back to visit your site again because you've established yourself as an expert in your field. Now they are even more interested in your products because you have gained their trust. Perfect! So, you are now drawing repeat visitors with a strong inclination to buy.

But it gets even better! These folks are so impressed by what you've shared with them in your free eBook that they pass the eBook along to friends, family, and business associates. Those who receive the eBook take the time to peruse your information because someone they know and respect gave it to them. They trust that you are legitimate because a friend recommended you, so they are easily persuaded to visit your site. Great!

By developing an eBook that contains valuable information and then giving it away for free, you are magnetizing your site! People will be drawn back again and again... and they will share your eBook with friends who will also want to check out your site. You see, the power of this technique lies in its subtlety. When people are reading your eBook, they will let their guard down! Because the information is free, they are not worried about being "had" or caught up in some kind of scam. As a result, it is very easy to establish credibility and rapport... and to establish yourself as an industry expert! People become interested in visiting your web site to learn more about your products and services because you have developed a relationship with them.

Believe it or not, you can even be so bold as to ask the reader why he/she did not buy your product. Does this sound a little pushy? Well, what do you have to lose? You are dealing with someone who has visited your web site AND downloaded your product information! This is the perfect opportunity to ask someone who has seen all that you have to offer to make a purchase!
